If you enjoy scenery, then a trip to Smailholm Towere or Scott's View (named after Sir Walter Scott) is well worth a visit, stop off on the way to discover the well hidden Victorian statue of William Wallace. There are many walks available amongst the hills and the Borders itself is a great place for a cycle holiday.
